Concept Proposal for 3S Auto Centre

Commissioned by Putrajaya Holdings in 2019, this Perodua 3S centre, is located in the industrial zone of Precinct 11 in Putrajaya. 3S denotes Showroom, sales and spare parts. Strategically sited at a main traffic junction, the design thus takes full advantage of this context to focus and celebrate this busy intersection. The main showroom is designed to open and embrace the junction while providing an expansive space to hold events by Perodua, thereby drawing in the crowd. The facade is of full height glass bordered by metal cladding, while the rear is occupied by the service centre and workshop, visually obscured by solid walls. The building exhibits fluid organic lines as an expression of movement. This form celebrates the vibrant and energetic character of the local automobile industry that is Perodua.
